G2 Power Obtains Qualified Registration (Q-Class) Certification from Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power
Smart grid specialist company G2 Power announced on the 12th that it has obtained the Q-Class certification, the final gateway for qualified registration with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP).
Following the acquisition of the KEPIC (Korea Electric Power Industry Code) Nuclear Quality Assurance Certificate in July last year, G2 Power explained that by obtaining the KHNP 'Qualified Registration (Q-Class)' certification this time, it has passed the final gateway to enter the nuclear power electrical equipment market, which requires strict technical skills and safety.
The 'Qualified Registration (Q-Class)' certification is awarded by KHNP and represents the highest quality grade certification for items related to the construction and safety of power generation reactors that meet nuclear quality assurance requirements.
With the acquisition of the Qualified Registration (Q-Class) certification, G2 Power has established a foundation for business entry into the domestic and international nuclear power plant equipment markets, and steady growth is expected by expanding its business scope and securing new domestic and overseas clients, thereby increasing its market dominance in nuclear power distribution panels.
A company official stated, “The top priority value of G2 Power’s products is quality and technology as its motto, and through strict quality management, it gains trust from customers and contributes to the development of domestic and international nuclear power electrical equipment.”

G2 Power Chairman Kim Young-il said, “Obtaining the Qualified Registration (Q-Class) certification recognizes our advanced technical capabilities to enter the nuclear power electrical equipment market. This enables us to enter not only nuclear power plants but also the power equipment markets of five public power corporations (Nambu, Namdong, Dongseo, Seobu, Jungbu) and overseas nuclear power plants, which will further increase G2 Power’s market dominance.”
