Korean Air Ranked 11th in UK Skytrax World's Top 100 Airlines
Asiana Airlines Ranks 37th... Qatar Airways Takes 1st Place
South Korea's two major national carriers, Korean Air and Asiana Airlines, were included in the world's top 100 airlines selected by Skytrax, a UK-based aviation consulting and evaluation organization.
According to the industry on the 26th, in this year's global top 100 airlines (including both major airlines and low-cost carriers) announced by Skytrax on the 24th (local time), Korean Air ranked 11th and Asiana Airlines ranked 37th. Their rankings dropped by 1 and 9 places respectively compared to last year. Korean Air ranked 22nd in 2021, 9th in 2022, and 10th last year in the same survey. Asiana Airlines ranked 25th in 2021, 33rd in 2022, and 28th last year.
Domestic carriers recorded higher rankings in specific categories. In the "World's Cleanest Airlines" ranking, Asiana Airlines placed 6th and Korean Air 10th. Cathay Pacific Airways took first place.

This year, Qatar Airways was named the "World's Best Airline." Singapore Airlines ranked second, followed by Emirates, ANA (All Nippon Airways), and Cathay Pacific. Skytrax conducted a survey of passengers from over 100 countries worldwide from September last year to last month to determine the rankings.
