Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority Conducts Safety Inspection of Large Construction Sites Ahead of Monsoon Season
Six Locations Including Ubang IUshell First Near Subway Stations Available Until the 28th
Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority will conduct a 'Safety Inspection of Large Construction Sites within the Free Economic Zone' from the 24th to the 28th.
This inspection has been prepared to prevent disasters and safety accidents in anticipation of the upcoming rainy season.
The inspection targets include six sites: the Woobang IU Shell First Apartment site in the Ulsan Station Area District, the Ulsan Station Complex Transfer Center site, the Halla Valdi Officetel new construction site, the Otronik Co., Ltd. factory new construction site in the Hi-Tech Valley (HTV) General Industrial Complex, the Ilsin Energy Co., Ltd. factory new construction site in the Techno General Industrial Complex, and the BNY Energy Co., Ltd. research institute new construction site.
The inspection will cover the following: ▲ Checking for ground subsidence around construction sites ▲ Inspection of drainage facilities at the sites ▲ Verification of disaster prevention equipment and material reserves ▲ Confirmation of emergency contact networks, among others.
If any accident-prone areas are found as a result of the inspection, immediate corrective action will be taken on-site. In addition, any deficiencies in the installation of temporary fences or dust-proof nets will be rectified before the rainy season to ensure thorough prevention of safety accidents.

An official from the Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority stated, "In preparation for the rainy season, we will proactively eliminate risk factors at construction sites in the region and thoroughly prevent substandard construction."
