Hana Bank Introduces AI Technology in Export Bill Purchase Operations
Hana Bank announced on the 24th that it will implement the 'AI Export Bill Purchase Computerization Automation' service.
The AI Export Bill Purchase Computerization Automation service incorporates 'READIT v3.0,' an AI technology independently developed by Hana Financial Convergence Institute. It automatically classifies unstructured export documents and quickly extracts key data such as purchase information digitally. This minimizes errors that occurred in the previous manual entry method, such as incorrect data input, thereby enhancing work convenience and efficiency.
Additionally, the technology is equipped to independently recognize and generate a vast and diverse range of character patterns learned from various export-related documents concentrated at the bank. Receiving accurate character recognition information is expected to improve the accuracy of export processing.
Starting with this service implementation, Hana Bank plans to also introduce AI-based export document review and export document preparation services. A representative from Hana Bank’s Foreign Exchange Business Support Department stated, “This is the first case in the financial sector to apply in-house technology in the export business field,” and added, “We will continue to provide innovative support to facilitate corporate export and import transactions by expanding the digitalization of export and import operations.”
