[Featured Stock] KCS, World's First Commercialization of Quantum Chip Between Manufacturers with SKT Increases
KCS is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by the news that it collaborated to develop the first commercial product, a quantum encryption chip, of the alliance 'XQuantum' established by SKT along with technology and component companies in the quantum field.
As of 10:34 AM on the 19th, KCS is trading at 7,000 KRW, up 8.7% compared to the previous day.
According to the industry, SK Telecom announced on the same day that it will launch a quantum encryption chip as the first commercial product of XQuantum. In March, SK Telecom formed an alliance with quantum field companies such as SOS Lab, XGate, Wooriro, KCS, Nokia, and IDQ Korea to jointly explore business opportunities and marketing.
The first commercial product, the next-generation quantum encryption chip, is called 'Q-HSM.' Q-HSM is a product developed through collaboration between SK Telecom and KCS, a hardware-based cryptographic module company. It includes quantum-resistant cryptography (PQC) technology added to the quantum encryption chip exhibited by both companies at last year's Mobile World Congress (MWC).
