Dobong-gu 'Choankkummaru Children's Restaurant' Opens... One Meal 2,500 Won
One Meal for 2,500 KRW for 1st to 6th Grade Elementary Students in the Area
Operated Every Monday to Friday, from 4 PM to 8 PM
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) established the Choan Kkum Maru Children's Restaurant at 17 Deokneung-ro 60jagil and held an opening ceremony on the 21st.
The Choan Kkum Maru Children's Restaurant provides dinner and care services to children from dual-income families and those using the Kkum Namu Card.
While offering eco-friendly food, the restaurant received high satisfaction from users during the pilot operation period in April due to its affordable prices.
The Choan Kkum Maru Children's Restaurant was built with a total floor area of 170.65㎡ and consists of two above-ground floors. It includes ▲Choan Kkum Maru dining hall ▲Kkum Maru kitchen ▲office, among other facilities.
To allow children to naturally engage in self-directed learning and form friendships before and after meals, ▲Care Maru room ▲Learning Maru room have also been prepared.
To ensure a balanced diet for the children, one nutritionist and one cook are assigned, and a care teacher with a care-related certification is designated to look after the children.
The service is available to students in grades 1 to 6 who are registered residents of Dobong-gu and attend schools located in Dobong-gu. To improve efficiency, the restaurant operates on a membership basis with 40 members, and recruitment for the first quarter is currently underway.
Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM. Up to 20 people can use the space at one time, so meals are served in two shifts. The restaurant fee is 2,500 KRW per meal.
The district plans to conduct satisfaction surveys on menus, nutrition, and user experience, analyze issues, and make improvements to operate the restaurant effectively.
