The AI model developed by the research team is a technology that analyzes blue organic light-emitting diode (OLED) devices to predict the key properties of the internal emission layer. It is expected to accelerate the development of OLED materials and devices in the future, contributing to creating a super-gap in display technology.
The high-performance AI model can accurately predict the core performance and properties of light-emitting materials using only the electroluminescence quenching curve under excessive electric fields. It can make predictions without understanding the photoluminescence characteristics of the emission layer or the electroluminescence characteristics of OLEDs, making it a key technology to accelerate the development of OLED materials and devices.
Professor Kim said, "The significance of this research lies in utilizing a non-destructive method that combines AI and applied physics to extract the material properties inside devices with high accuracy," adding, "We will continue to strive to lead foundational research for Korea's super-gap in display technology."
