Geumcheon-gu School Outside Youth Support Center 'Kkumdeulim' Offers Special Experience to Youth
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it will operate a healing camp in Jeju Island for 12 out-of-school youths from the 23rd to the 25th, a 2-night, 3-day schedule.
The camp was organized by the Geumcheon-gu Out-of-School Youth Support Center "Kkumdeulim" to provide out-of-school youths, who are exhausted from preparing for entrance exams and employment, with an opportunity to rest and experience the unique culture of Jeju Island.
The youths will participate in various programs such as experiential activities, recreation, and team activities while enjoying the beautiful sea, oreum (volcanic cones), and coastal scenery of Jeju Island. Through this, the camp plans to enhance mutual intimacy and bonds and create unforgettable memories.
One youth participating in the camp expressed excitement, saying, "I have never flown on an airplane before, so I am very excited to be able to go to Jeju Island through the Kkumdeulim camp, and it’s even more thrilling because it’s been a long time since I last traveled."
The Geumcheon-gu Out-of-School Youth Support Center "Kkumdeulim" helps the growth of out-of-school youths not only through educational support but also counseling support, employment and independence support, health checkups, and meal support. It is available to any out-of-school youth aged 9 to 24.
