“No Overcharging Allowed” … Jang Geum-yong, Changwon City Deputy Mayor, Conducts Emergency Inspection with Seonyanghoe
Jang Geum-yong, the 1st Deputy Mayor of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, conducted an emergency inspection with Seonyanghoe, the festival organizer, at the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival on the 28th regarding the controversial overcharging incidents.
On that day, Seonyanghoe and merchants held an emergency meeting and agreed that the quantity of the controversial items could vary depending on the product type, which might cause confusion among visitors. They concluded to provide the same products and quantities uniformly. They also pledged to prevent further controversies over overcharging.
The city officials visited the site, directly ordered fish cake skewers to check the quantity, and urged merchants to comply with the price tags, initiating a re-inspection of overcharging issues.
