KOSPI Closes Below 2750 as Institutions and Individuals Net Sell...
The KOSPI closed below the 2750 level as foreigners were the sole net buyers.
On the 22nd, the KOSPI closed at 2748.56, down 6.30 points (0.23%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, foreigners were the only net buyers with 665.7 billion KRW. Individuals and institutions were net sellers of 530.6 billion KRW and 162.8 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, medical precision rose 2.23%. Textile and apparel also increased by 1.97%. Conversely, transportation equipment and distribution sectors fell by more than 1%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics closed at 78,900 KRW, down 400 KRW (0.50%) from the previous day. Samsung C&T Corporation fell 3.03%. Hyundai Motor and Kia dropped 3.37% and 2.42%, respectively. On the other hand, Samsung SDI closed up more than 3%, while LG Chem and NAVER rose over 2%.
On this day in the KOSPI, Shinpung Pharmaceutical Preferred Shares hit the upper limit, with 487 stocks rising and 384 stocks falling. Sixty stocks remained unchanged.
The KOSDAQ closed at 903.98, down 0.31 points (0.03%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, foreigners and institutions were net sellers of 58.9 billion KRW and 67.6 billion KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, individuals were net buyers of 134 billion KRW.
By sector, textile and apparel rose 2.35%. Additionally, information devices, communication services, and transportation equipment & parts increased by more than 1%. Conversely, digital content and semiconductors fell by more than 1%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, EcoPro BM closed at 277,000 KRW, up 1,000 KRW (0.36%) from the previous day. Alteogen jumped 3.66%, and EcoPro rose 1.78%. Meanwhile, Wemade plunged 7.93%. Additionally, Shinsung Delta Tech fell over 3%, and Solbrain dropped more than 2%.

In the KOSDAQ, Daedong Gear and M-Gen Solution hit the upper limit, with 830 stocks rising. Conversely, Haesung TPC hit the lower limit, with 700 stocks falling, and 114 stocks closed unchanged.
