Saltlux, Top-Tier AI 'Lucia On'... World's First Generative AI Appliance Launch
Lucia On, a Custom ChatGPT Ready to Use Immediately Upon Installation
Saltlux, a domestic artificial intelligence (AI) company, unveiled the world’s first generative AI appliance, ‘LUXIA ON,’ on the 20th, allowing anyone to experience generative AI solutions simply by connecting to a network and powering it on.
According to the ‘2023 Global AI Adoption Index’ report released by IBM last month, while about 82% of companies are considering or utilizing AI adoption, only about 42% are actually using AI.
Implementing customized AI requires not only massive investment costs but also talent capable of operating it. General generative AI such as ChatGPT cannot provide company-specific answers, and concerns about internal data leakage pose practical difficulties for companies to utilize AI.
LUXIA ON is a product that enables anyone to create a customized ChatGPT trained on internal documents without worrying about information leakage in an on-premises environment. It has been trained on Korean data equivalent to about 4.2 million books. It comes pre-installed with Saltlux’s proprietary large language model LUXIA, which recently ranked first in the under 35B category on the open LLM leaderboard, demonstrating excellent performance.
It offers various API sets, making additional program development and feature expansion easy. It can also integrate with other open models such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Mistral’s ‘Mistral,’ and Meta’s ‘LLaMA.’ In particular, it supports RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) and embedding functions that vectorize data, minimizing hallucination?a known drawback of ChatGPT?and providing highly reliable answers to questions.
Adopting a no-code, web-based management tool allows basic management and monitoring without coding knowledge, and additional purchases of LUXIA ON enable flexible handling of increased usage. This significantly reduces concerns about operational methods and costs after implementation. Therefore, it is expected to be widely used in areas such as ▲customer service automation ▲document summarization and analysis ▲language translation ▲content creation ▲personalized recommendation system development.
The LUXIA 13B model installed in LUXIA ON supports English and Korean and is suitable for about 50 users. For large-scale system construction or customization needs, separate inquiries can be made.
A Saltlux official explained, “LUXIA ON, which allows immediate use of generative AI at the level of hardware pricing, is a product that consolidates all of Saltlux’s technology accumulated over more than 20 years.” They added, “We expect it to quickly address the needs of companies and institutions worldwide that have been struggling with AI adoption due to costs, lack of experts, and security issues.”
