KT, Genieverse Road Name Address Digital Textbook On-site Training
KT conducted training for public officials to promote the early adoption of a digital textbook for road name address education.
On the 12th, KT announced that it recently provided guidance on the development purpose and utilization plans of the digital textbook for road name addresses using the AI metaverse ‘Geniverse’ to 60 local government road name address officers at the Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall Information Education Center.
Geniverse is KT’s AI metaverse platform where users can decorate their own space in a virtual world and generate avatar messages and images using generative AI. Utilizing this, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the LX Address Information Utilization Support Center plan to add content that helps understand and experience road name addresses, using it as a digital textbook for elementary school students.
Through the digital textbook, students can understand the overall road name address system by performing tasks such as ▲ constructing roads and buildings according to road types (Daero, Ro, Gil) ▲ producing and installing building number plates and road nameplates for road directions by building type ▲ checking object addresses installed on facilities.
Additionally, AI NPCs (Non Player Characters) embedded within Geniverse conduct part of the education, such as the principles of assigning road name addresses, reducing teachers’ preparation burden. There are also real-time practice assignments and review quizzes by topic. Students’ comprehension and class achievement can be monitored in real time.
