Caspion Achieves Operating Profit of 1.1 Billion Won Last Year, Turning to Black
Smartphone Antenna Manufacturing Sales Increase 13.7% to 63.2 Billion Won
Kespion, a smartphone antenna manufacturer, announced on the 7th that its sales revenue last year reached 63.2 billion KRW, a 13.7% increase compared to the previous year. During the same period, operating profit was 1.1 billion KRW, and net profit was 2.8 billion KRW, marking a return to profitability.
The company explained that the turnaround to operating and net profits was due to ▲ increased sales in the communication antenna business division ▲ cost reductions in selling and general administrative expenses ▲ decreased impairment losses.
Kespion plans to continuously increase sales through the development of new technologies in its core communication antenna business and improve profitability through cost reductions.
Additionally, to diversify its business, the company secured precision processing technology for smart device sheets and films through mergers and acquisitions (M&A). It is currently developing technology for entering a new business related to next-generation electric vehicle (EV) battery cables and plans to continue investing in this business division.
For this purpose, the IATF16949 certification audit required for the automotive electronics business is in its final stages, and the company expects to obtain it within the first quarter of this year.
