Naver AI Translator Papago Now Supports Arabic Language
Naver Cloud announced on the 1st that its artificial intelligence (AI) translation service 'Papago' will newly support Arabic translation. With this update, the total number of languages supported by Papago has expanded to 16.
Arabic will be initially supported in ▲text translation ▲voice translation ▲conversation translation, and it is planned to be applied to image translation within the year. It can be used not only by domestic users visiting Arabic-speaking regions but also by Arabic-speaking users visiting Korea.
Papago features accurate and contextually appropriate translation results based on its proprietary neural machine translation technology (NMT) and translation quality evaluation models. It continuously secures high-quality training data to enhance translation quality so that the cultural characteristics of languages are sufficiently reflected in the translations.
Jung Junghwi, Director of Naver Cloud, said, "As there is a steady demand from users for Arabic translation services, we plan to actively incorporate user feedback to further advance our technology and services."
