'Ultraviolet Sterilization' LG PuriCare AeroTower Air Purifier New Product Launch
Ultraviolet Sterilization Output... Removes 99.9% of Bacteria
Specialized Filter Applied... Customized Air Quality Management
360˚ Air Purifier New Model with AI... Power Consumption Reduced by Up to 51.2%
LG Electronics announced on the 1st that it will launch the LG PuriCare Objet Collection 360˚ air purifier and Aero Tower new products with added ultraviolet (UV) sterilization air purification functions. These products eliminate bacteria and viruses in the air.
The new air purifier applies a method that sterilizes the inhaled air with UVC. This is the first time among LG air purifiers. The new UV sterilization function removes 99.9% of airborne bacteria and 99.8% of viruses in the air that has passed through the filter.
LG Electronics explained, "After COVID-19, we recognized that customers are sensitive to viruses and many expressed a desire for air purifiers with air sterilization functions, so we equipped the new products with UV sterilization."
A UVC light-emitting diode (LED) lamp is installed in the center of the bottom of the product. The lamp sterilizes the air itself that is discharged. The air drawn into the bottom of the product passes through a G filter that removes five major harmful gases such as ammonia, reducing ultrafine dust and everyday odors.
Customers can manage air quality by additionally applying specialized filters to the G filter. Specialized filters include those for pet odors, new house syndrome-causing substances removal, exhaust smoke, cooking vapor removal, and allergy-causing substances.
Equipped with the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Plus' function, it reduces power consumption by up to 51.2% compared to the existing AI models. The product automatically analyzes air quality and adjusts the operating intensity accordingly.

The new air purifier is launched on this day. The Aero Tower new product is scheduled to be released within this month. The air purifier price ranges from 1,990,000 to 2,070,000 KRW based on filter type, and the Aero Tower is priced at 1,340,000 KRW, both based on the shipment price.
Subscription service is also available. The contract period can be selected from 3 to 6 years. Monthly subscription fees vary depending on the contract period and options. When subscribing, filters are basically delivered every 12 months. If periodic product management by a care manager is needed, additional options can be selected.
