Customized Services Provided by Consultation Committee Members
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province operates free consultation offices in four fields: legal, architectural, tax, and cadastral, to effectively support various daily life problems and legal disputes.
Since 2020, Yeongdeok-gun has been running free consultation offices starting with legal, architectural, and cadastral fields through trusted local experts, minimizing various damage cases and providing high-quality legal advice to residents, which has been well received.
From 2021, the tax field was added, and this year, by linking with the village tax accountant system of the Finance Department, the tax consultation pool has been further strengthened to provide a wide range of services including national tax consultations and local tax appeal consultations.
The schedule by field is as follows: legal consultations are held on the first and third Thursdays of every month from 2 to 5 p.m., architectural consultations on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m., tax consultations on the second Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m., and cadastral survey consultations are available on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
For consultation applications, legal, architectural, and tax fields require prior reservation only, while cadastral survey consultations can be done by visiting without reservation on weekdays.
Residents who wish to receive consultation can make a reservation by phone or visit the General Civil Affairs Processing Division of Yeongdeok-gun Office.

Kim Myeong-hee, head of the General Civil Affairs Processing Division, said, “Specialized fields are very difficult and have low accessibility, so many people suffer unnecessary damage or have no one to rely on. We will expand the service fields of expert free consultations and improve the quality of consultations to provide in-depth support so that not only information-vulnerable groups but also all residents can receive reliable life consulting.”
