Eunpyeong-gu, 2024 Participatory Budget Resident Proposal Project Contest
Call for 'Participatory Budget Projects and Ideas' Proposed Directly by Residents... Participation from Proposal to Voting and Implementation Available on Online Platform 'Chamyeoui Keunsup'
Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it will conduct the "2024 Participatory Budget Resident Proposal Project Contest" to be reflected in next year's participatory budget projects from this month until March 29.
The scale of the "2024 Participatory Budget Resident Proposal Project Contest" is a total of 3 billion KRW, including the budget for neighborhood area projects, and any resident of Eunpyeong-gu can propose projects that resolve inconveniences or help with daily life.
To participate, residents can access the "Participation Big Forest" website to register proposals, or submit proposal forms in person or by mail to the Resident Participation and Cooperation Division of Eunpyeong-gu Office.
Eunpyeong-gu operates the online resident participation platform "Participation Big Forest" and has simplified the forms to discover more practical policies related to daily life, allowing residents to freely propose ideas that come to mind even if they are not specific.
For those who want to submit proposals with concrete implementation plans but find it difficult to write the proposal, a "Consulting Team" is also operated to provide assistance. The district plans to enhance the quality of participatory budget projects by broadly collecting residents' opinions from small ideas to detailed plans.
Proposed projects and ideas submitted to the contest will be concretized through public forums and finally selected at the residents' general assembly (resident voting). The finally selected proposals are expected to be reflected in the 2025 budget (draft).
