Hana Securities analyzed on the 22nd that Suprema is expected to experience rapid growth in on-device artificial intelligence (AI).
Kim Gyusang, a researcher at Hana Securities, stated in a report on the same day, “The Galaxy S24 is equipped with numerous AI features including generative AI ‘Gauss’, ‘Galaxy AI’, real-time call translation, photo and video editing, camera, and document summarization,” and explained, “Suprema has long supplied fingerprint recognition algorithms for Qualcomm smartphones based on its own lightweight technology, and Suprema’s fingerprint recognition is the most basic on-device AI that operates through AI within the device.”
He added, “The Galaxy S24 is also expected to be equipped with Qualcomm chips, which is expected to benefit Suprema,” and predicted, “If the foldable phones currently equipped with capacitive button fingerprint recognition switch to ultrasonic display fingerprint recognition, it will need to be installed on both the external and internal displays, potentially doubling Suprema’s fingerprint recognition algorithm sales.”

He also anticipated that orders for data centers with NEOM City will begin in earnest. He analyzed, “Suprema’s sales to NEOM City (Middle East region) are expected to double from 7.5 billion KRW in 2021 to 16.2 billion KRW this year,” and added, “Currently, Suprema is supplying access control systems for workers at NEOM Hospital, residences, and NEOM Villas, and more construction workers will be needed to achieve the 2030 completion goal, which is expected to further expand the access control system.”
