Dobong-gu Promotes Winter Vacation Special Care Program 'Our Neighborhood Care Center Goes'
Sports Education Activities and Cultural Arts Programs Operated at Care Centers by District
Dobong-gu has stepped up to take care of children in need of care during the winter vacation.
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it will operate the out-of-school care program "Our Neighborhood Care Center Goes" for 344 elementary school students until the 26th of this month to respond to the increased demand for care during the vacation.
The program is operated at care centers by district, with each care center offering specialized programs. The program consists of sports education activities such as golf, tennis, boxing, and futsal, as well as various cultural and artistic programs including crafts and pottery.
At the Dobong Care Center (Dobong Station Lower Shopping Center No. 02, 03), cooking, crafts, reading, gardening, and board games are offered, while the Vacation Care Center (Ecological Library Supssokae) provides cooking, forest play, and art activities.
Additionally, the Ssangmun Care Center (Ssangmun-dong Youth Culture House) offers cooking, drones, physical play, and crafts, and the Changdong Care Center (Changdong Youth Culture House) prepares cooking, crafts, reading, gardening, and board games to welcome children.
Previously, the district accepted participants through the Dobong-gu Education Portal Dobongbaeum-e website, and since the number of applicants exceeded the recruitment quota, participants were selected by lottery.
