Currently, disabled call taxis can only be used within Seoul city, 12 adjacent cities including Bucheon, Gimpo, Namyangju, and Guri, as well as Incheon Airport. The operation range has now been expanded to cover the entire area of the three local governments.
Anyone registered as a person with severe walking disabilities at the Mobility Support Center can use the disabled call taxi anywhere in the metropolitan area regardless of destination or travel purpose by making a reservation one day in advance. However, to prevent inconvenience caused by increased waiting times for existing users within the jurisdiction due to metropolitan operation, this service will only be available for the additional disabled call taxis deployed.
Seoul City, Incheon City, and Gyeonggi Province will each deploy 30, 10, and 60 vehicles respectively for metropolitan area mobility. Additionally, starting this month, Seoul City will pilot operate 30 "corporate special taxis for the disabled" involving corporate taxi companies.
