Machang Bridge and Changwon Himchan Hospital Provide 10 Million Won in Surgery Support for Low-Income Patients
Supporting Surgery Costs for Neighbors in Need for 5 Years
Machang Bridge donated 10 million won on the 28th to Changwon Himchan Hospital to support surgery costs for low-income groups.
With this donation, they have been supporting joint and spine surgery costs for vulnerable groups in Gyeongnam Province for five years.
At the donation ceremony held at the 10th-floor education center of Changwon Himchan Hospital, Machang Bridge CEO Kim Seonghwan, Changwon Himchan Hospital Director Lee Sanghoon, and related personnel attended. They shared the status of the previous donation usage and progress reports of the project, and had a discussion to maintain mutual development and an organic cooperative relationship between the two organizations.
Starting with 5 million won in 2019, Machang Bridge increased the amount from 2020 and has donated 10 million won annually, delivering a total of 45 million won to Changwon Himchan Hospital including this year's donation.
Changwon Himchan Hospital selects low-income individuals in the region who need knee artificial joint surgery and spinal screw fixation surgery, supporting up to 1 million won per surgery case. This year, 10 people have received actual surgery cost support benefits.
CEO Kim of Machang Bridge said, “I hope the donated funds become a warm support for the medically marginalized groups,” and added, “We will cherish our relationship with the hospital to continue this happy partnership.”
Director Lee said, “As the year-end approaches, I thank Machang Bridge for their annual generosity toward neighbors in need. As medical technology advances, treatment costs increase, so we will use the donated funds for the region’s marginalized groups with care and meaning.”
