Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service Receives Award for Excellence in Self-Audit from Board of Audit and Inspection
The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service received the Auditor General's Commendation as an Excellence Award at the '2023 Internal Audit Items Contest' hosted by the Board of Audit and Inspection on the 24th.
The Internal Audit Items Contest is held annually by the Board of Audit and Inspection to share best practices among internal audit organizations nationwide, including central administrative agencies, local governments, and public institutions, and to promote qualitative growth in audit activities.
The Service received high evaluation for its 'Inspection of the Operation Status of Postal Rate Reduction.'
The inspection of the operation status of postal rate reduction is an audit regarding whether DM companies comply with procedures when sending various postal items, related to the bulk mail rate reduction system operated by the Korea Post.
The Service contributed to enhancing ESG value and fostering environmental protection for future generations by reducing social and environmental costs through expanding mobile electronic notifications, while also saving budget.
As a result, following last year's Excellence Award in the pre-consulting category, the Service was recognized again this year for excellence in internal audit activities and received an award.
