LH Sejong Headquarters to Begin General Sale of Jochiwon Purchased Rental Apartments This Month

Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) Sejong Headquarters will conduct a general sale of a total of 15 units of apartments at ‘Jochiwon Shindonga Familier’ in Jochiwon-eup, Sejong City at the end of this month.
The apartments for sale are located at 30 Dojangmal-gil, Jochiwon-eup, Sejong Special Self-Governing City. The complex consists of 5 buildings ranging from one basement floor to a maximum of 15 floors above ground, with a supply area of 108㎡ to 199㎡, totaling 291 households. It is characterized by being composed only of units with an exclusive area of 84㎡ or more, which is rarely seen in the recent sales market.
The houses supplied this time were purchased by LH in 2008 and rented as public rental housing for 10 years following the government’s 「Measures to Utilize Unsold Apartments in Local Areas」 and 「Cooperation to Secure Rental Housing」 policies. These houses were reclaimed by LH after the existing tenants vacated.
Eligibility to apply is for adults aged 19 or older as of the resident recruitment announcement date (November 15, 2023), residing nationwide (based on resident registration), and only one application per household is allowed. Duplicate applications will all be invalidated. Notably, unlike before, the application qualifications have been relaxed. Applications are possible regardless of whether the applicant has subscribed to the Housing Subscription Savings (including previous subscription savings), past winning status, home ownership, or whether income and asset criteria are met.
An official from LH Sejong Headquarters said, “Since restrictions on re-winning and winner management do not apply when winning and signing contracts for the apartments for sale this time, there is no need to worry about problems with applying for other apartments in the future.” He added, “Since medium-sized apartments rarely appear in the sales market, those interested in medium-sized units might consider targeting the sale units coming out this time as one option.”
Applications for these houses will be accepted only through internet subscription or the mobile app (LH Subscription Center) on the LH Subscription Center website. Applications will be accepted for two days from Wednesday, November 29 to Thursday, November 30, and winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 5. Contract signing will take place on Wednesday, December 13.
Meanwhile, around the apartments, there are walking trails formed along Jocheon Stream, Jochiwon Sports Park, and Jocheon Lotus Flower Park, allowing residents to enjoy a pleasant natural environment within the city. In addition, public facilities such as Jochiwon Fire Station, Sejong City Health Center, and Sejong Northern Police Station are nearby to ensure residents’ safety and convenience.
