Dongseo University LINC 3.0 Project Group Signs ESG University Alliance Business Agreement
The Dongseo University Phase 3 Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Leading University Development Project Group recently signed a 'ESG University Alliance Business Agreement for the Activation of Industry-Academia Cooperation' with 10 LINC 3.0 project groups nationwide at the Industry-Academia Cooperation Center of Daejeon University.
The project group established agreements with ▲Southeast region - Dongseo University, Gyeongnam National University ▲Capital region - Dongguk University, Korea University ▲Chungcheong region - Daejeon University, Hanseo University ▲Honam and Jeju region - Jeju National University, Honam University ▲Daegyeong and Gangwon region - Keimyung University, Hallym University to build a mutually close cooperation system for the LINC 3.0 project and to promote industry-academia cooperation based on ESG.
The ESG University Alliance is a nationwide LINC 3.0 project group council newly launched in September 2022 by the Regional Community Contribution Research Association for industry-academia-research cooperation.
Since 2017, it has continuously carried out regional community contribution and ESG activities by operating 9 ESG Capstone Design Fairs, 8 Ideathons, and 30 seminars and special lectures.
In addition to the existing 8 universities, Korea University and Hanseo University have newly joined this agreement.

View original imageAccording to the agreement, each university will cooperate in ▲sharing ESG-based industry-academia cooperation information, mutual cooperation and joint operation regarding joint research ▲collaborative activities and creation of best practices through sharing ESG-based university infrastructure and ideas, and fostering a shared collaborative ecosystem ▲joint operation of synergy-creating programs through ICC collaboration among universities.
Additionally, they will jointly promote ▲planning and operation of joint projects to solve regional issues ▲activities to nurture talent tailored to future new industries and regional settlement, and to strengthen attraction of residents.
The ESG University Alliance plans to hold an ESG-related forum in December and an ESG Capstone Design Fair in January 2024.

Hwang Gi-hyun, head of the Dongseo University LINC 3.0 project group, said, “We will strive to ensure that the ESG University Alliance, a nationwide university council that has continued for 7 years, can be sustained sincerely and continuously,” and added, “We will maximize the achievements of the industry-academia-research shared collaboration network activities and jointly respond to changes following the introduction of RISE (University Support System).”
