The best-selling smartphone during China's largest shopping festival, the Guanggun Festival (Shuangsi), was Apple's iPhone 15. Although specific sales figures were not disclosed, the iPhone 15 series dominated the top ranks, demonstrating its continued popularity.
According to Chinese economic media Jiemian News on the 13th, Chinese e-commerce company JD.com announced that the top-selling models during the Guanggun Festival were the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 15 Pro.
This ranking was based on cumulative sales revenue as of 11:59 PM on the 11th, but specific sales volume or total amounts were not revealed. Following these were the Redmi K60, iPhone 13, Honor X50, Xiaomi 14, Honor Play 20, and Redmi Note 12 Pro, which were among the top 10 models. Huawei’s new smartphone released after three years, the Mate 60 series, did not make the list.
Alibaba disclosed the brand-wise Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) during the Tmall event period, reporting that Apple phones ranked first. Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo followed. Again, sales volume or total amounts were not mentioned.
Apple has participated in the Guanggun Festival since 2019 through official flagship stores on Tmall and JD.com. The discount range, which was around 300 to 500 yuan (approximately 54,000 to 109,000 KRW) at that time, expanded to about 1,000 to 1,200 yuan during this event.

Jiemian News analyzed, "The iPhone 15 series was a hot topic from its launch due to heating issues and price drops, and some expressed resentment and criticism toward Apple. However, this did not prevent the iPhone 15 series from becoming bestsellers during the Guanggun Festival." Chinese media Zaker commented, "In the past, discounts on the latest iPhone models came after waiting six months to a year post-launch, but now they arrive within two months. No matter how many flaws there are, if the price is right, everything becomes an advantage."
