The Fair Trade Commission corrected unfair terms and conditions in the seller usage agreements of four live commerce platform operators, including Coupang, Naver, Kakao, and Grip Company.
On the 9th, the Fair Trade Commission announced that it reviewed the terms and conditions between live commerce operators and sellers to prevent consumer harm and protect small and medium-sized sellers on the platforms. The unfair terms consisted of 16 clauses across 10 types, including provisions that imposed all responsibility on sellers regardless of fault, clauses infringing on sellers' copyrights, and clauses that imposed disadvantages on sellers for unclear reasons.
