Kim Ki-hyun: "Judge ruled guilty on Lee Jae-myung... Absurd to see opposition's audacity"
On the 28th, Kim Gi-hyeon, leader of the People Power Party, criticized the opposition's self-serving interpretation regarding the dismissal of the arrest warrant for Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea.
On the same day, Kim said on his Facebook account, "Judge Yoo Chang-hoon's political decision is a serious problem, but it is absurd that the Democratic Party demands an apology from the president and the dismissal of the Minister of Justice while insisting that the dismissal of the warrant is equivalent to a not guilty verdict."
He continued, "Even Judge Yoo Chang-hoon, who dismissed the warrant, ruled that Lee Jae-myung is guilty of perjury instruction," adding, "Perjury instruction, along with perjury, is a representative 'lying crime,' and the court has strictly punished it."
Kim also criticized the dismissal decision itself, saying, "The fact that the judge dismissed the warrant despite the establishment of perjury instruction cannot be explained unless it was decided from the beginning not to go easy on Lee."
