‘The Sharp Soyang Star River’ in Chuncheon, a Prime Location for Enjoying a One-Stop Life
As the housing market is being reorganized around actual demand, so-called ‘one-stop life’ apartments that allow residents to enjoy various infrastructures such as transportation, convenience, and natural environment all nearby are showing strong performance.
In fact, when looking at the leading complexes driving market prices in each region, most are located in areas where one-stop life is possible. For example, ‘Pentaport’ in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, which recorded the highest sale price this year, is within walking distance of KTX Cheonan-Asan Station, E-Mart, Galleria Department Store, and Yonggok Park. A unit with a net area of 195㎡ was traded for 1.45 billion KRW in May.
Similarly, ‘Dongtan Station Lotte Castle’ in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, which was traded for 2 billion KRW (net area 102㎡) in August, is located close to excellent high-speed transportation networks such as SRT Dongtan Station and the planned GTX-A line, as well as various shopping and cultural spaces like Lotte Department Store and CGV.
One-stop life complexes are also recording good results in the sales market. ‘Cheongnyangni Lotte Castle High Luce’ in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, which recorded the highest subscription competition rate this year at an average of 242 to 1, is located right next to Hongneung Neighborhood Park and close to convenience facilities such as Lotte Department Store, Lotte Mart, and Gyeongdong Market.
‘The Sharp Soyang Star River,’ being sold by POSCO E&C in Chuncheon, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, is also attracting attention from buyers as a complex where one-stop life is possible.
The complex is located in Soyang-ro 2-ga, Chuncheon, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, consisting of 11 buildings ranging from three basement floors to a maximum of 26 floors above ground, with net areas from 39 to 112㎡, totaling 1,039 households. Among these, 855 households are for general sale.
‘The Sharp Soyang Star River’ allows access to major Seoul areas such as Yongsan and Cheongnyangni within an hour via the Gyeongchun Line Chuncheon Station. The Chuncheon?Sokcho East-West High-Speed Railway, scheduled to open in 2027, is under construction, which is expected to significantly improve accessibility to Seoul and the metropolitan area once operational. The Namchuncheon IC on the Seoul-Yangyang Expressway and Chuncheon IC on the Jungang Expressway are also easily accessible.
The area surrounding the complex boasts abundant green spaces such as the Bukhan River, Bongui Mountain, and Chuncheon Peace Ecological Park, offering a pleasant residential environment. Some units offer views of the Soyang River. Geunhwa Elementary School, located nearby, is within walking distance, and schools such as Chuncheon High School, Seongsu High School, and Yubong High School are all within a 1 km radius.
Convenient access to lifestyle facilities is also a strong point. Administrative facilities such as the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office and Chuncheon City Hall are nearby, and Chuncheon Myeongdong Street, which is densely packed with various shopping facilities and banks, is just a 5-minute drive away. Medical facilities such as Gangwon National University Hospital and Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital are also located nearby. Moreover, as ‘The Sharp Soyang Star River’ is part of the Chuncheon Soyang Redevelopment Promotion District, residential conditions are expected to improve further as the area develops.
The area around the complex is rich in development prospects, promising high future value. Chuncheon Camp Page, adjacent to the complex, was selected as a candidate site for the 2023 first half Urban Regeneration Innovation District National Pilot Project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. It will be developed into a space where culture and advanced industries coexist. The total project area is 520,000㎡. Cultural parks and pedestrian networks will be created, and two mixed-use sites will be developed with tourism (accommodation), advanced industries, and living SOC facilities. To reduce fine dust and respond to the climate crisis era, the function of the climate response urban forest will be maintained.
