Bank of Korea Financial Economic Law Research Paper Contest, Seoul National University Law School Wins Top Prize
The Bank of Korea announced on the 25th that the paper titled "A Legislative Improvement Plan for Multilateral Trading Facility Operators to Protect Investors" from Seoul National University School of Law (Law School) won the Grand Prize in the '2023 Financial Economic Law Research Paper Contest.'
Since 2014, the Bank of Korea has held an annual financial economic law research paper contest for university (graduate) students and financial sector workers to raise interest and research atmosphere in central banking and financial economic legislation.
This year, among a total of 30 submitted papers, four outstanding papers were selected through evaluations by internal and external experts: one Grand Prize, one Excellence Award, and two Encouragement Awards.
The Grand Prize was awarded to the paper "A Legislative Improvement Plan for Multilateral Trading Facility Operators to Protect Investors" co-authored by Song Junseon, Oh Soyoon, Lim Kihyuk, and Choi Jungwoo from Seoul National University School of Law (Law School).
The Excellence Award went to the paper "A Study on Regulatory Measures for Contracts for Difference (CFD)" co-authored by Park Yeonjeong, Lee Dayeon, and Hong Sujin from Seoul National University School of Law (Law School).

Awardees will receive a certificate from the Governor of the Bank of Korea along with a monetary prize. Additionally, for the next five years, they will be given preferential treatment in the document screening process when applying for new employee (G5) recruitment at the Bank of Korea.
