9th Anniversary of Klook "Total Transaction Volume Surpasses $3 Billion This Year"
Travel & Leisure E-commerce Platform
Tripled Compared to 2019
Special Deals and Prize Events Worth 12 Billion Won Until the 22nd
Global travel and leisure e-commerce platform Klook announced on the 8th that its total transaction volume has already surpassed $3 billion (approximately 4 trillion KRW) this year in celebration of its 9th anniversary.
This is a record high, tripling the volume compared to 2019 before the outbreak of COVID-19. Ethan Lin, Klook's CEO, stated, "We will solidify our position as a specialized activity platform by providing unique travel services exclusive to Klook."
Klook is focusing on strengthening its expertise as an activity-specialized platform, based on the insight that MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) travelers value 'special experiences' during their trips and have a strong desire to share these experiences on social networking services (SNS).
A representative example is the launch of 'Klook Creator,' the travel industry's first nano and macro influencer partnership program centered on social media. Additionally, Klook plans to promote travel revitalization based on 'social travel.' It will also introduce online sales campaigns based on social content and user-generated content (UGC).
