Dobong-gu Promotes Installation of Public Sewer Odor Reduction Facilities in Ssangmun-dong Area... 100 Sites Selected for Installation in Ssangmun-dong, Approximately 177 Odor Prevention Covers to be Installed
Dobong-gu has taken action to eliminate the foul odor from sewage that has been causing residents to frown.
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it will install public sewage odor reduction facilities around Baegun Middle School, Dobong-gu Health Center, and other areas in Ssangmun-dong.
Previously, the district conducted on-site investigations focusing on areas with major odor complaints and selected 100 sites for the installation of odor reduction facilities.
A district official stated, “We prioritized areas with numerous complaints when selecting installation sites,” and added, “We will also install facilities in areas with frequent ad-hoc complaints in the future to improve the quality of life for residents.”
Approximately 177 odor prevention covers will be installed at the 100 selected sites. After installation, the project’s effectiveness will be analyzed through on-site re-inspections and reflected in future project plans.

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “We expect this installation of odor reduction facilities to improve residents’ discomfort caused by sewage odors,” and added, “We will continue to strive to create a pleasant urban environment free of sewage odors.”
