An Apartment Complex with 28 Floors and 1,500 Units to Be Built in Noryangjin 6 District Near Jangseungbaegi Station
The puzzle of Noryangjin New Town, consisting of about 9,000 households, is coming together. Near Jangseungbaegi Station on Seoul Subway Line 7 in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, an apartment complex with up to 28 floors and 1,500 households is scheduled to be supplied in Noryangjin District 6.
On the 6th, Seoul City announced that it held the Urban Redevelopment Committee meeting the previous day and approved the amendment plan for the redevelopment promotion plan of Noryangjin District 6. Noryangjin District 6 is a project site located in the station area of Jangseungbaegi Station on Subway Line 7. It received project implementation plan approval in 2014 and management disposition plan approval in 2021.
With this decision, the area will have a joint housing complex of 1,499 households (including 262 public housing units) with 4 basement floors and 28 floors above ground. Additionally, through public contributions, a complex cultural facility with a total floor area of 13,000㎡ necessary for the region will also be constructed.
Han Byung-yong, Director of the Housing Policy Office of Seoul City, said, “Through this decision, large-scale housing supply of about 9,000 households in the Noryangjin redevelopment promotion district, which has excellent location conditions such as transportation, has become visible. We will support the improvement of the aging residential environment in the Noryangjin area and ensure smooth supply of various types of housing.”

Meanwhile, Noryangjin New Town is a redevelopment project covering eight districts in the Noryangjin and Daebang-dong areas of Dongjak-gu (738,000㎡). A total of 9,088 households are planned to be built. District 2 is scheduled to be relocated and demolished, while Districts 4 and 6 are preparing for relocation.
