Sejong-si, COVID-19 Screening Clinic Operating Hours 'Shortened'
Sejong City will shorten the operating hours of COVID-19 screening clinics operated in the region.
Sejong City announced on the 31st that starting from the 1st of next month, the operating hours of the screening clinics will be shortened from 9:00 AM?5:30 PM to 9:00 AM?4:00 PM.
The reduction in operating hours is a decision made following the government policy, as the COVID-19 infectious disease classification was lowered from level 2 to level 4 starting on the 31st.
However, Sejong City plans to maintain year-round, daily operation of the screening clinics. This measure considers the steady demand for testing from high-risk groups such as those aged 60 and over, workers in nursing hospitals and other high-risk facilities, as well as hospitalized patients and their caregivers at medical institutions.
Along with the reduction in operating hours, Sejong City also plans not to conduct basic epidemiological investigations on confirmed cases after the transition to a level 4 infectious disease.

Kang Mingu, head of the Sejong City Health Center, said, “In line with the downgrade of COVID-19 to a level 4 infectious disease, the operating hours of the screening clinics will also be shortened. However, we ask citizens to continue following preventive measures in daily life, such as hand washing, cough etiquette, wearing masks, and regular ventilation.”
