Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz and Others Recall Over 210,000 Vehicles
On the 30th, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that 213,792 vehicles across 24 models manufactured or imported and sold by Hyundai Motor Company, Kia, Mercedes-Benz Korea, and Porsche Korea were found to have manufacturing defects, prompting voluntary corrective actions (recalls).

View original imageAmong them, 159,212 Tucson vehicles manufactured and sold by Hyundai Motor Company were found to have malfunctioning turn signals, and 20,455 vehicles across four models including the Palisade were found to have manufacturing defects in the control device of the electric oil pump.
Additionally, 19,755 Avante HEV vehicles were found to have errors in the hybrid integrated control unit software, and 271 Universe vehicles had errors in the auxiliary braking system software.
Kia's Seltos, totaling 2,782 units, were found to have defects in the electric trunk support device, and 4,881 K5 vehicles had defects in the control device of the electric oil pump.
In the same company, 33 Granbird vehicles were found to have errors in the auxiliary braking system software.
Mercedes-Benz's 5,349 vehicles across 13 models including the E 250 were found to have errors in the software of the rear short-range radar control device.
1,054 Porsche Cayenne vehicles were found to have parking lights and emergency flashers that did not meet safety standards.
Recall target vehicles can receive free repairs at the official service centers of each manufacturer and seller. If repairs were made at the owner's expense, compensation can be requested from the manufacturer.
