The 5th Gangdong Youth Symphony Festival Opens
August 31 - September 2 Youth Orchestra Festival at Gangdong Art Center Grand Theater on Han River... A Classic Dream Tree Festival Embellished with Beautiful Melodies
Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced that the "Gangdong Youth Symphony Festival," a stage for aspiring classical musicians, will be held for three days from August 31 to September 2 at the Gangdong Art Center Grand Theater Hangang.
Now in its fifth year, the "Gangdong Youth Symphony Festival" is a classical music exchange platform where young people dreaming of becoming classical performers showcase their honed skills and gain stage experience. Gangdong-gu hosts this annual event to support talented youth in classical music and nurture cultural talents.
This year, 11 youth orchestra groups from the region will participate. On August 31 at 7 PM, performances by Cheondong Orchestra, Myeongwon Orchestra, and Baejae Orchestra will take place. On September 1 at 7 PM, Gangdong Phil Youth Chamber Orchestra and Myeongseong Youth Orchestra will perform.
On the final day, September 2 at 2 PM, Petit Junior Ensemble, Asrai Clarinet Ensemble, and Hanyoung OB Wind Orchestra will perform. Later that day at 7 PM, performances by Yul Chamber Orchestra, Our Neighborhood Dream Tree Arts School Orchestra, and Gangdong-gu Youth Symphony Orchestra are scheduled. The closing performance will feature a joint concert by Our Neighborhood Dream Tree Arts School Orchestra and Gangdong-gu Youth Symphony Orchestra, filling the stage with beautiful classical melodies.
