Sahmyook University Obtains '5-Year Accreditation' from Korea University Accreditation Board
Eligible for Government Financial Support Criteria
Sahmyook University has obtained a 5-year accreditation in the '2023 First Half University Institutional Evaluation Certification' conducted by the Korea University Education Council's Korea University Evaluation Institute.
In this evaluation, Sahmyook University met all five major evaluation areas: ▲curriculum and teaching and learning ▲faculty and staff ▲student support and facilities ▲university performance and social responsibility, receiving a 5-year accreditation until 2028.
The University Institutional Evaluation Certification is a system that evaluates and certifies whether higher education institutions meet basic requirements such as the quality of education through an absolute evaluation method. A total of 185 institutions, including general universities and industrial universities excluding education universities, are subject to evaluation.

This system will replace the University Basic Competency Diagnosis, which the government has used as a financial support criterion, starting from the 2025 academic year.
