Jung Jin-wook, former spokesperson for presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung, has been appointed as the Special Political Advisor to the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea.
The Special Political Advisor plays a role in assisting the party leader's political judgment and decisions through understanding public sentiment and providing political advice.
Jung served as spokesperson for candidate Lee Jae-myung during the 20th presidential election and the Democratic Party leadership election.
He is from Yeonggwang, graduated from Gwangju Kumho High School and Seoul National University with a degree in Political Science, and worked as a reporter for the Korea Economic Daily.
