A man in his 50s died after being crushed by a fallen marble slab at a remodeling construction site in Wolsan-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju.

According to Gwangju Fire Department on the 16th, at around 11:10 a.m., Mr. A (59) was crushed by a marble slab that fell from a height of 2 meters at a remodeling construction site of a gym on the first floor in Wolsan-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju.
Mr. A, who was trapped under a marble slab weighing about 50 kg, was transported to a nearby hospital by the fire department but ultimately passed away.
