Choi Tae-won, chairman of SK Group, received 1.75 billion KRW from the holding company SK in the first half of the year. The total compensation, including SK Hynix, amounted to 3 billion KRW.
According to the semi-annual report disclosed by SK on the 14th, Chairman Choi received a salary at the same level as last year, corresponding to his position as CEO and chairman during the period. SK stated, "Within the 2023 director compensation limit, we comprehensively reflected factors such as position (CEO), title (chairman), leadership, expertise, and contribution to the company."
Chairman Choi also received a salary of 1.25 billion KRW from SK Hynix. SK Hynix explained, "The base annual salary is 2.5 billion KRW, and 1/12 of that, 208 million KRW, was paid monthly." Thus, the total compensation Chairman Choi received in the first half amounted to 3 billion KRW.

Meanwhile, Cho Dae-sik, chairman of the SK Supex Council (inside director of SK), received a total of 5.034 billion KRW in the first half, recording the highest compensation among executives. This includes a salary of 1.2 billion KRW and a bonus of 3.834 billion KRW. Jang Dong-hyun, vice chairman and CEO of SK, received a total of 3.786 billion KRW.
