Shinsegae Department Store announced on the 11th that it will present a 'participatory exhibition' where artists and customers can communicate.
Shinsegae Centum City Store is holding the exhibition "Shapes of Summer: Hyper Summer" until the 20th and is introducing a 'Mini Atelier' corner where customers and artists can interact regarding the exhibition. The Mini Atelier is a newly created content by Shinsegae Department Store to provide experiential elements for MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) customers who value experience and communication. Shinsegae Department Store invited six young emerging artists, including Shin Morae and Kimi, who are popular among young customers, to attract more MZ generation visitors to the gallery. Customers are known to use colored pencils and other materials provided at the Mini Atelier corner to draw the artworks they saw in the exhibition or express their own shapes of summer through drawings, thereby communicating with the artists.
After the exhibition ends on the 20th, Shinsegae Centum City Store plans to select representative reviews and deliver them to the respective artists. Through this, it is expected that artists will have an opportunity to indirectly communicate with visitors and also gain new inspiration from customers.

Shinsegae Gwangju Store has been serving as a communication channel between audiences and artists through a program called "50-Character Review" for the past five years. The 50-Character Review is a corner where customers leave their personal impressions of the artist in free form, such as writing or drawing, after viewing the exhibition.
At Shinsegae Daejeon Store's Art & Science, the "I am an Artist" corner allows customers to become artists themselves. In the ongoing "Art Vacance: Oasis" exhibition until the 20th, a large mural created by the project group Yeop[Yeop] is displayed, enabling customers to participate directly in the creation process and communicate with the artists.
