Alleviating Inconvenience for Residents Who Must Wait Long Hours at Civil Service Office
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has launched the ‘Civil Service Waiting Number Notification’ service to ease the inconvenience experienced by residents who have to wait long hours at the civil service office.
This service allows residents to enter their mobile phone number at a kiosk inside the civil service office instead of receiving a paper queue ticket, and then receive notifications about their waiting order on their smartphones.
Through KakaoTalk messages, real-time updates on the number of people waiting and the waiting number are provided, with notifications sent up to three times according to the waiting sequence. For seniors and others who have difficulty using smartphones, the traditional paper queue ticket issuance is still supported.
