View original imageOn the 13th, Oh Eon-seok, Dobong District Mayor, visited the site of a power outage caused by a fallen utility pole due to heavy rain in the Ssangmun-dong 59-5 area (in front of Ssangmun Neighborhood Park and Hanyang 6th Apartment).
Upon hearing the news of the power outage, Mayor Oh urgently ordered an investigation into the cause and damage situation and promptly arrived at the scene.
After arriving at the site, Mayor Oh checked the damage status and stayed with the residents, monitoring the site until the utility pole was restored and power supply to the nearby apartments was completed.
After returning to the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters situation room, Mayor Oh received reports on flood control status and requested thorough safety preparations from each department to prevent further damage caused by the heavy rain.

Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong District said, “First, I would like to express my condolences to the residents who were greatly shocked and inconvenienced by the sudden power outage, and deeply thank the Korea Electric Power Corporation officials who worked hard to restore the utility pole in the heavy rain.” He added, “Since heavy rain is forecasted until this weekend, we will carefully monitor on-site facilities and respond thoroughly to ensure the safety of our residents.”
