Silla University and Green Tech System Sign Business Agreement to Establish a Pet Complex Shopping Mall
Shilla University has signed a business agreement with Greentechsis to create a pet specialty complex shopping mall called ‘HOWWE’.
The creation of the pet specialty complex shopping mall ‘HOWWE’ is a project aimed at revitalizing the development and operation of the underground shopping area at Gwang-an Station, promoting the development of the local pet-related industry, and revitalizing the commercial district.
The agreement signing ceremony took place on the 5th at 3 p.m. in the President’s Reception Room on the 6th floor of the Shilla University Headquarters, attended by key officials from both institutions, including President Heo Nam-sik and Chairman Choi Won-ho of Greentechsis.
On that day, they signed a business agreement related to the creation of a large-scale pet specialty Park Mall ‘HOWWE’ in the underground commercial area connecting Gwang-an Station and Suyeong Station subway stations.
According to the agreement, the two institutions will cooperate in ▲ fostering new pet industries through collaboration with the Korea Pet Association and the Japan Pet Association ▲ developing new tourism products in Busan through the largest pet-exclusive mall in Korea ▲ establishing a specialized pet business ecosystem in the region by holding continuous pet expos.
Additionally, they will cooperate in ▲ industry-academia collaboration through national project planning, research projects, information exchange, and technical consulting ▲ nurturing specialized talent and creating jobs related to the pet industry in the Busan area, contributing to the local industry and revitalizing the regional economy centered on pet business.
President Heo Nam-sik of Shilla University said, “As public interest in pets is high, fostering the pet industry is nationally essential. Our university was the first among four-year universities in Busan to establish a department dedicated to pets, striving to contribute to nurturing talent in the pet industry.”

He added, “Our university will actively support the ‘HOWWE’ creation project and hopes that, together with Greentechsis, the project will succeed and the facility will become a tourist attraction in Busan.”
