Measures include guiding and encouraging homeless people to shelters and distributing relief supplies upon discovery
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) will conduct a survey on homeless people wandering the streets during the heatwave on the 7th.
This survey was initiated to protect the health rights of homeless people in the area and to prevent safety accidents in preparation for the heatwave.
The main survey areas are locations where homeless occurrences and complaints are expected: ▲Changdong Station ▲Banghak Intersection ▲Ssanghan Bridge ▲Ssangmun Station. A summer street homeless counseling team, organized in pairs, will conduct patrols.
When homeless individuals are found during patrols, the district will verify their identity and provide guidance and encouragement to enter homeless shelters. If the individual refuses to use the facilities, the district will assess their condition and take appropriate measures such as distributing relief supplies.
