Free Drinking Water Provided at Seoul Branch
Woori Bank announced on the 5th that it held a delivery ceremony for supplies to support vulnerable groups in preparing for the summer heatwave.
On the same day, Woori Bank delivered heatwave response supplies such as cool mats at Cheonan City Hall in Chungnam Province, with the participation of civic groups including the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Climate and Environment Network. These supplies will be distributed to 2,100 vulnerable households susceptible to heatwaves, such as elderly living alone and low-income families, as well as 50 social welfare facilities including social welfare centers and elderly welfare facilities.
In addition, various support projects, including diagnostic consulting, will be promoted to enhance the heatwave response capabilities of vulnerable groups.
A Woori Bank official stated, “Climate change is a matter of survival for socially disadvantaged people, and we hope that through this support project, those struggling with the heatwave can have a healthy and safe summer.”
