Recruiting Participants for the 2023 Summer Vacation Youth Volunteer Program Starting from the 26th
Seoul Gangbuk-gu (District Mayor Lee Soon-hee) is preparing a ‘Youth Volunteer Program’ for the summer vacation and is recruiting participating youths.
This program is designed for youths to acquire the knowledge necessary for volunteering through service learning and to foster a sense of community by participating in various campaigns.
The district is conducting five programs for elementary, middle, and high school students from July 24 to 28 at the district family center and other locations, recruiting 20 participants for each program.
The program begins with a ‘Multicultural Understanding Education’ lecture on the 24th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the family center, where participants can learn about the culture and customs of Azerbaijan.
On the 25th from 2 to 4 p.m., ‘Fire Safety Education’ will be held at the Gangbuk Fire Station, including experiences with fireproof clothing, fire evacuation, indoor fire hydrants, fire extinguishers, and earthquake drills.
The upcycling experience program using discarded toys will take place on the 26th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Samgaksan Citizen Hall.
The ‘Disability Awareness Improvement Campaign’ on the 27th from 2 to 5 p.m. at the National Rehabilitation Center will include theory sessions and experiences with wheelchairs, guided walking, and darkroom simulations.
The ‘Carbon Zero Air Purifying Plant Making’ program will be held on the 28th from 2 to 4 p.m. at the district volunteer center.
Participants in this youth volunteer program who also join the SNS campaign activities will receive volunteer points. Applications can be made from the 26th via the ‘1365 Volunteer’ website or by phone.
