Dobong-gu Launches Full-Scale Mobile Healthcare Service
Dobong-gu's 'Mobile Healthcare' Receives Great Response from Residents Including Office Workers
Utilizing a Mobile App Linked with Smart Bands for 24 Weeks of Intensive Health Management
A Dedicated Team Composed of Coordinators, Doctors, Nurses, Nutritionists, and Exercise Specialists
Expected to Greatly Benefit Residents and Office Workers Who Find It Difficult to Visit Health Centers on Weekdays
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it will promote the '2023 Mobile Healthcare' project to encourage residents to practice healthy living and provide health management services without restrictions of time and space.
Previously, the district conducted health screenings for pre-registered participants, measuring blood pressure, blood sugar, waist circumference, triglycerides, and high-density cholesterol, selecting those with one or more health risk factors and vulnerable health groups as the final participants.
Participants will be able to receive continuous mobile consultations from experts in health, nutrition, and exercise through a mobile app linked with a smart band for 24 weeks, providing information on daily health practices such as step count, walking time, and calories burned.
A district official stated, "Using ICT (Information and Communication Technology) for health management services has the advantage of being free from time and location constraints, so it is expected to greatly help residents and office workers who find it difficult to visit health centers on weekdays."
In addition to the basic mobile healthcare services, the district plans to select 40 participants to undergo once-weekly intensive strength training for 24 weeks with exercise specialists.
