Pukyong National University, Dongseo University, and BNK Financial Join Hands to Foster Digital Finance Talent
On the afternoon of the 7th, Pukyong National University, BNK Financial Group, and Dongseo University signed a glocal industry-academia cooperation agreement for nurturing digital finance talents at the 20th-floor conference room of the Busan Bank headquarters.
President Jang Young-su, Chairman Bin Dae-in, and President Jang Je-guk agreed at the signing ceremony to collaborate for the establishment of industry-academia-linked financial education infrastructure in the Busan region and mutual development.
The advanced department "Digital Finance Department," which awards joint degrees from Pukyong National University and Dongseo University, will be newly established next year. The three institutions plan to expand cooperation in nurturing digital finance engineering professionals in Busan through industry-academia-linked financial education support.

Additionally, through BNK Financial Group's support for industry-academia-linked financial education, they will be able to grow into fintech specialists in Busan, which is emerging as a digital finance hub.
To this end, BNK Financial Group will actively support the development and operation of industry-academia-linked educational programs with in-house experts, and the two universities plan to provide master's and doctoral degree education for BNK Financial Group employees.
Each institution will support research and cooperation projects to activate digital finance engineering research, hold joint academic conferences, and provide briefings and customized consulting for innovative growth companies within the universities.
