Hwasun-gun Awards Commendation to Contributors of the Dolmen Festival
2023 Hwasun Dolmen Festival: Civilian Contributors Awarded for Successful Promotion
On the 1st, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that it selected and commended meritorious contributors for the successful hosting of the '2023 Hwasun Dolmen Festival' during its regular assembly.
Three organizations that enriched the festival with diverse and abundant programs (Hwasun-gun Family Center, Dogok Paprika Agricultural Corporation, Dogok Cherry Tomato Cooperative) received plaques of appreciation, and nine civilians were awarded commendation plaques.
The nine civilians who received commendations are Jeong Seong-deok, Chairman of the Korean Red Cross Hwasun District Council; Jeong Jung-gun, CEO of Theme Park Sopung; Jo Bo-ik, CEO of Juam Landscaping; Choi Sam-chae, meritorious forestry worker; Park In-sook, President of Hwasun Succulent Association; Yoon Ye-ju, President of Hwasun Wildflower Association; Shim Hye-sun, member of Chunyang-myeon Women's Association; Kim Yong-hee, member of Dogok-myeon Youth Association; and Son Hong-gyu, President of Iseo-myeon Prosperity Association.
Additionally, during the assembly, a commendation was also awarded to a public official who achieved special merit.
The awardee was Im Ssang-ho, a public employee from the Environment Department, who on the 17th of last month, risked danger to promptly respond to a fire at the rural waste comprehensive treatment facility in Hancheon-myeon, successfully extinguishing the fire and greatly contributing to minimizing human and property damage.
County Governor Gu Bok-gyu stated, “This festival was a work created through the collaboration of Hwasun-gun and its residents, offering many sights and enjoyable experiences,” and added, “I express my gratitude to the organizations and individuals who made every effort, both materially and spiritually, for the grand festival.”
