View original imageAccording to the price comparison service Danawa on the 10th, sales of frozen fried chicken and buffalo wings from January to April this year increased by 84% compared to the same period last year. During the same period, sales of frozen boneless chicken rose by 68%. This is analyzed as an increase in consumers seeking substitutes due to the rise in chicken prices.
From the 3rd of last month, Kyochon Chicken raised the recommended retail price by up to 3,000 won. The Soy Sauce Original increased from 16,000 won to 19,000 won, and the Honey Combo rose from 20,000 won to 23,000 won. Considering delivery fees ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 won, eating one whole chicken costs nearly 30,000 won.
